24 weeks pregnant... a little late.

So I am actually 26 weeks and 4 days pregnant as I write this post, but I really wanted to share a pic from my 24 week photos (courtesy of my Mum). I will try get a current photo in the next few days.

I just really like this photo because Mikayla is in it and is touching my belly. I can't wait till she has a little sister. We tell her all the time that there is a baby in Mummy's tummy and she kisses and hugs it all the time, but I just don't know if she really gets it. She can definitely see my belly growing and points it out all the time. I would love to know what she is thinking.

I often wonder and worry how she will be once the baby is actually here. It has been just the three of us for so long now, and she is so use to getting our full attention. She is such a gentle and caring girl, so I am not worried about her being rough or mean, I just worry that she will take it out on me and make me feel guilty. It will definitely be a learning curve in different ways this time round. I am looking forward to it though and can't wait to hold my baby girl.

I would love to know how you told your children there was another baby on the way, and how they took it once baby was born.

Baby Shower Fun!

This Saturday just gone we finally had our baby shower. It was a great day and we had such a good time catching up with family and friends. I think we had about 30 guests in total at the end of the day who all seemed to fit into Mum's house nicely. I was a bit worried there wouldn't be enough room. The weather was wonderful although a little hot.

We had a delicious barbecue lunch cooked by my wonderful Husband

This is me and my friend Cassie comparing belly sizes. Cassie is actually due right about now.

A quick pic of the parents to be :)

My Mum and Grandma preparing food in the kitchen.

People outside

People inside. We used the magenta pink and lime green colour scheme for decorations around the house to match the colours I am using in bubby's bedroom.

Alex and I opening presents. We felt very spoilt!

Alex was keen to try out this little ride on fire engine. I think he is going to have a lot of fun pushing his daughter around on this

This is a pic of all the wonderful presents we received on the day. Were we spoiled of what!

A big thank you to everyone who came to the baby shower and made it such a great day! We had such a great time and can't wait for you all to meet our little princess Mikayla xxoo

And also a big shout out to my Mum for allowing us to use her home for the day, and staying up till midnight the night before baking and organising. We couldn't have had such a great day without you xxoo

28 Weeks Pregnant Today!!!!

That means I am into my third and final trimester, YAY!!! It has gone by so fast and I am sure bubs will be here before we know it. I seriously could not have asked for a better pregnancy so far. It has really been a breeze *knocking on wood*. I have another antenatal appointment tomorrow which I am excited about. I love getting to hear our baby girls heart beat and seeing where she is lying. It is getting so exciting! Alex and I often talk about the day she will actually be here with us. We haven't done too much on the nursery side of things as we have been pretty busy with organising the wedding. I can't believe I will be a wife this Saturday!! I thought I would be a nervous wreck on the week leading up to the big day, but I am actually pretty excited about it. Everything is starting to fall into place and I think we are ready to get this wedding done, lol. I will post pics from the big day when we get back from our honeymoon.

Any who, I just wanted to share with you a couple of pics of my changing belly. The first one is from when I was 15 weeks and the last one was taken today.

Look at that tiny little belly bump

She has still got a ways to grow yet which is a scary thought.

I hope everyone has a great week and a great weekend. Please pray for a beautiful sunny day on Saturday for me ;)

2 months till my Wedding Day!

Eeeeeeeep!!!! I am definitely starting to freak out a little. I have already been having nightmares about almost everything going wrong in the wedding. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night out of breath and covered in sweat. I think my problem stems from being a scary perfectionist and a crazy organising freak! I just can't help myself, lol.

When I went into this whole wedding venture I really thought planning a wedding would be easy and fun, but boy was I completely wrong! There is just so much to do and plan. Alex and I are also working on a tight budget so we are doing a lot of stuff ourselves from scratch. I am very lucky to also have a great family who is willing to step in and lend a big hand. I don't know what I would do without them.

Since the weather has been so lovely and it is starting to warm up again, Alex and I decided that we needed to get out of the house and enjoy some fresh air and nature this weekend. My Mum and brothers had the same idea so we decided to make it a family venture. We took a picnic lunch out to the country and sat in the sun all day long lapping up the tranquility of the countryside. The place we stopped at has a running creek just beside it so we also spent a lot of time down there playing in the cool, fresh water. We all had a great day and can't wait to do it again soon. It was just what I needed to de-stress and relax.

My brother Beau took this photo of Alex and I sharing some cuddles in the creek together

and I couldn't resist throwing in this pic of me and my growing baby belly

Hope everyone else had a great weekend :)

Happy Birthday Chloe!!!

Alex and I spent the day yesterday with friends at their daughter Chloe's first birthday party. It was such a beautiful sunny day with a banquette of food and drinks that didn't seem to end. Alex and I both went home very full and tired at the end of the day.

Melissa and I have been friends since school and I was so happy and excited to be there to celebrate this milestone in her beautiful daughters life. There were a lot of little kids and babies there too which got Alex and I so excited thinking about the day we will have our little one in our arms.

I can't believe Chloe is already 1 year old. Time sure does fly!! She is such a little cutie, don't you think?

Chloe - from helpless little baby to independent girl with her own personality

It is unbelievable how much babies change in the first year of their lives. It kinda makes me sad that it will zoom by so fast. I will just have to make sure when our little one arrives that we cherish every single moment.

In my own baby growing news, I am definitely feeling more and more movement everyday. I love the little butterfly's and the jelly flopping goodness that is happening inside my belly. Sometimes it can really tickle though and make me giggle out loud. I can't wait for Alex to be able to feel it from the outside.

This is a pic of me and my baby bump taken yesterday. 17 weeks and 5 days
